100th Rememberance Of Both Killed & The Killer..

Today morning dad called me to check out the newspaper. He continued that this day is the 100th rememberance day of Vaanjinathan. Dad asked me whether I remember what he said about Vaanjinathan before 4 years when we crossed the same station where Ash was killed.

Four years ago, dad said the story to me on the train spotting the station we were in. Maniyaatchi is the station where Ash was killed by Vaanjinathan. I asked who is Ash. I gave preference to the one who is killed because I beleive who is right and willing to save life will have no heart to destroy. Dad told during British period Ash is a man who was posted as a collector in Thirunelveli. It was said that Ash has locked V.O.Chidharambarnaar in jail due to british orders. Ash was married and has 4 little kids, 2 boys and 2 girls.

Vaanjinathan has studied and worked in a different place and then married to a lady then while coming on leave to his hometown he participated in the meet consists of 8 to 10 people who planned to murder Ash because he locked V.O.C in jail. And while shuffling Vaanjinathan's name came up and he was chosen to execute this.

One morning when Ash was with his family in the train in station Machiyaatchi, Vaanjinathan gets inside it and said,"Good Morning Ash". When Ash looked up he shot 3 bullets on him and Ash was dead. Vaanjinathan then got down the train and shot himself to death.

I don't know why he killed himself. If he did what was right, then why did he killed himself? If he was afraid of the consequences, he should not have done that.

I beleive Mahatma Gandhi's "An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind". Because no one is good enough to take action on someone. These people seem to have taken this cold decision for V.O.C., but V.O.C's last days was terrible. He suffered in his own country. He was also an important freedom fighter but he suffered after freedom. Where do all these guys went up after freedom? No seed of them alive?

On hearing V.O.C.'s destitute condition Justice Wallace, the judge who sentenced V.O.C. restored his bar licence. But V.O.C spent his last days in Kovilpatti heavily indebt even selling all of his law books for daily survival.

I don't know what they had acheived. Ash was killed who made V.O.C. suffer.. Good.. And what about us? Did we took any care on him? But it was a British man who sentenced him, took care on him.

The other side of the story is the two woman behind it. Freedom freedom freedom, and where was the happiness of the two woman who married Ash and Vaanjinathan and their little kids, gone in your freedom? To me Vaanjinathan just destroyed two families and made them suffer. How horrible would it be to see you husband or father die before your eye?

Ash's wife then went back to england and lived there with her kids. First son of them was died in World War II, second son was a lawyer in Ireland, two daughters of Ash was died without being married. The second son's son was Ash's grandson who wrote a letter to Vaanjinathan's family in this day, the 100th rememberance of Vaanjinathan and also pittyfully his Grandfather Ash.

In his letter he stated, "This is the day of sadness and proud for you. When being under governance it happens for someone to do wrong to others and we feel sorry for it. Your Vaanjinathan's freedom desire has killed my Grandfather. But we are who living today should keep in peace than have ressentment. I send this letter as a peace between us."

What a man he is! I would not have done this if I were in such a situation. I bet no one can have this thought. The same day was the day of his Grandfather killed and they would have seen their mom suffer, because of the government? because of the desire to get freedom? No matter what, lives are more precious than government and freedom. What have you done with your freedom? Your sister can't go alone anywhere in your own country. What type of freedom have you earnt? I don't know whether this was called freedom fight and the thing that happens now in India against Indians and political people are terrorism?

First be a human and then you can think of being an Indian or a British or an American or something..

அடுத்தவங்க மேல அக்கறை காட்டலேனாலும் பரவால சாவடிக்காதீங்க. இது ஒவ்வொரு தனி மனுஷனுக்கும் தான்.
