VBS Day
Vacation Bible School, is the period of 10 days time when kids are thought about the love of God and his ways. It will start on every May 1 to 10.
Tuesday I went to Church by 6.45, the program started by 7.00. When I was starting from home, some voice behind me told me to take my camera with me. I hesistated it just because I'm bit shy in attention grabbing. But the programs made me to yell at me 'you stupid'. I should have taken my camera with me, it was so awesome.
The dances, the songs, the dramas, the mime, the story by the kidsssssssss.... Cheif guest was Mrs. Alli Sornam, she was known to be the best VBS director and she proved it again by holding every child's attention till she completed her message. She was telling stories like pro story teller. She was narratting every act and to be frank, I was like a child, listenning to her with all my interest.
The first story she said about walking with God is,
She first asked whether any kids love walking, some kids shouted in joy raising their hands, then about walking alone, no kids did, and then about walking alone in the dark, every kid nodded a BIG NOOOO.
She smiled and then continued about a father and a son who was walking along. There comes a deep, dark tunnel and the son hesitated to move into it. The father said, 'Dear son, come along with me, I'll go before you and you follow me'.
They both entered into the tunnel, and after a while the son got frightened of the dark and screamed, 'Father'. Father replied, 'Dear son follow me'. And the son followed with the hope that he is safe by his father who is going before him in his way.
After a little while the son again screamed, the father again replied, 'Dear son follow me'. With the voice of his father, the son crossed the dark tunnel along with his father.
Like wise when you find situations of dark that might fear you, call on for God and He will reply you back, with His voice, be of good courage and walk behind Him believing He is walking before you and will protect you, is the message.
Wowww what a nice story. But I regret missing my cam at home because she narrated it so lovely that anyone will love it.
Second story was a true story that happened in California. There was again a father who is a pastor and his only little son Joe. Every sunday after mass, the father and Joe seem to give tracts (tracts are small cards on which good wordings from Bible are printed) to all those they come against and to all the houses that are beside. If the door was locked they used to put the tracts on post box.
One day father had a severe cold and the climate was even colder that he could not make it well. The father asked his son, 'Joe today your dad is not fine, so we will go home, Jesus will excuse us this one day as I'm unable, so let us go home'. Joe said, 'Ok dad, we'll do one thing, you wait here in Church, I'll go fast and give all the tracts to all whom I meet by and come'. Father agreed and gave him all the tracts.
Joe was very actively running to give all those tracts but could see none. As it was cold outside, no one was there. Joe was disappointed but he was in a eager to give all these tracts to everyone. He continued running and there came few men with their coats, Joe gave them tracts and he ran again and there were few men, he gave them, likewise he gave all tracts but one was left. He searched here and there but couldn't find one to give this tract to. He was so disappointed but there was only one tract left out and so Joe wants to give it to someone. He remembered that old, dark house in his way and thought he would give it to someone there.
He went to the house and saw the post box was missing, so he pressed the calling bell, but no one appeared. He was saddened but he still had an interest to give the last tract and pressed the bell again, but no one appeared. He was dejected and this time he pressed the calling bell and didn't took his hands off. An angry old woman came opening the door with utmost anger. She yelled him, 'What'. Joe said, 'Pls Granny don't be angry at me, I just came by to give you tracts'. 'What tracts', she yelled again. Joe told, 'Pls Granny don't be angry, Jesus Loves You and I too love you' he inserted the last tract into her arms and ran off.
The next sunday was second sunday that's witness sunday. Anyone who have witnessed God's miracle in their life, will come forward in Church and share that with everyone. When its time, the same old lady came forward. Pastor (Joe's father) was confused on seeing the lady because he haven't seen her before. The lady on standing in front said, 'God and that little... she called, 'You little boy come here'. Joe was fightened as he pressed the calling bell to her anger, he hesitated and looked his father. His father asked Joe to come forward.
Joe came by and the old lady continued, 'God and this little God's angel changed my life. I was a good believer of Jesus and later I was married to a man who was not into God, we both lived a life where I have forgot God and his ways. He died a couple of years ago and my life doomed. I couldn't find a light to carry myself and last sunday I planned to take my life away. I tied a rope on my upstairs room where if anyone found out, it would take time to reach me upstairs to save me. I tied the rope and checked whether it fixed me right, and that first door bell rang. I ignored it. Then when I inserted my head, the second door bell rang. I thought I will wait till the bell goes off and then I seek to insert my head, there rang the third door bell, but this time the door bell didn't stop.
Something said to me, 'stop this and go down to see who it is'. I came down and saw this little God's angel who said, 'Don't be angry on me, Jesus Loves You and I too love you' and inserted a tract and ran off. After many years for the first time I read God's word and it brought a new light into my life.'
So if we are active in walking with God and following his ways, we will be like that little Joe, who was like God's Angel to other people.
So inspired by the story and the way she told it. Later our Church's Sunday School director said that, 'when I specified her ability for kids esp. in welcome address, many would have thought that as an exaggeration but she proved it that was very little for her'. Very true. Later my mom went to wish her and congratulated for the fantastic way she lifted our VBS day. She then saw our pastor and asked his wellness who had a catract operation 10 days ago. He said he is okay now and gave a good rapport of me to my mom on how beautifully I listenned to all the programs :-) as I was the most irregular believer (I don't participate in any of the Church's activities, I'm quite reserved for my first step unless I'm forced into it).
But I was very happy to gain that good rapport from my pastor who is a true man of God :-) While ridding back I shouted silently, "God I Love You" with utmost joy in my heart... :-)
