A Strange Stranger...

It was a low sunny morning; I was on my way to my exam. The location of the examination was a new place in chennai and I’m already not a queen of travelling places even in my own city. Hence I know this wouldn’t be a piece of cake for me but I was sure God is going to be with me to guide my journey. I inquired about the bus number and the stops and made my move. I went to the bus stop thinking I would make a lone journey but when I reached there in about a few minutes a girl approached me and stood near me. There were many people moving but I noticed her arrival, I don’t know why and in a glimpse I noticed her. Later I was waiting for my bus and she came near me and asked the same bus number for which I’m waiting for. I asked with a smile, ”I’m waiting for the same, it didn’t approached yet, and you for the exam?” She said yes with a smile.

And that’s it she asked me about my place and other stuffs and I inquired about her and thus we shared. She on the way gave me some tips and papers for my preparation and I was happy to see that kind of good and warm-hearted soul. More than everything else, I was happy to meet her in my life, a good, warm-hearted soul and a strange stranger...

Her name is Bhavani; we neared the place and mutually went to pick up the next bus and went inside the college to write examination. In my class an invigilator is assigned and she was a bit impatient and asked all of us to place bags and mobiles out and latecomers are not allowed. Later one coordinator of the exam who was conducting it came there. She was a young lady and dressed in chudidhar holding a bag came inside and the invigilator who noticed her told her in strong voice, “I said bags and mobiles outside”. She couldn’t get the situation and later with a smile said, “I’m the coordinator”. And we all looked at her reaction that was a sheepish smile. And after finishing the exam, while coming out, we waited for each other. The bus got crowded and I thought we wouldn’t get any place even to stand and so told her we would catch the next one so that we could be seated. She said no I’ll catch this one for you and me and she went and hold on two places for each other. I was shocked and surprised to see her deeds for a stranger. I went in and saw her holding one place for me and herself seated on the next row, while I was ahead one girl pushed me and took the place and Bhavani saw me and asked me to take her place but I said no I would stand beside you, I’m completely ok with that and suddenly a seat near me got emptied and awaited my response as though it emptied for me and I took that place. We were landed in a stop from where we took a private bus to our destination and she was on her way to class and said I would get down few stops before you. We both took seats near and were talking all stuffs in and outside us and we shared our mobile numbers.

While her stop was approaching near, she said, “I’m getting down here and you go to your stop safe and make it to your home”. I was moved in heart to receive such a care from a stranger I met few hours ago. “What a wonderful soul she is!” I thought. Surely an Angel... God had sent me to take care of me. I tilted my head as a sign of ok with a composed smile. I said, “Take care, best wishes for your future” and waved her a bye. On my rest of the time I was travelling to my stop, I was thinking of her, the good nature of her... On the way many got in the bus and many got down but I haven’t noticed anyone, not even who was sitting near me, I was busy dipping at the beauty of her heart... Suddenly a woman who was seated near me called me and asked where I was going, and I said tambaram and looked around to notice whether I reached there. I suddenly woke up to consciousness and asked her whether I’ve crossed it. She would have been looking at the tension in my face it seems, she smiled and said no but its about to come. I smiled and said to myself another Angel, God sent me to get down at the right place, as He knew I don’t know places and a daydreamer too and smiled at her. She smiled at me too.

While getting down, I took my bag and said her I’m leaving with a smile, she smiled at me and I got down the bus. Inspite of my examination and the merciless questions, these are the wonderful unforgettable experiences I had and could ever have...

Never Decide Anything...

Never decide anything.
Time has the might to show you the depth of the qualities
you once valued.

Life Is A Story I Write...

Some times life is worth living
Many times it’s all about killing
I feel like rusting
And yearned for resting

Some times true friends knock my way
At growing times they fade away
Can’t find any words to say
And nothing could give a sway

Love is sometimes scary
Where shall I get a remedy?
I thought that’s a word plenty
But it’s a world so empty

Life is a story I write
With tears and pain that’s out of sight
My shoulders loses its might
Craving for my first step’s light

Between The Lines

Heart aches when dear ones go far distances;
And when dear ones create distances in-between, it aches even more...

Love Aggressively and Sacrificially

Jesus Christ said,” This is My commandment: that You Love One Another As I Have Loved You. No One Has Greater Love Than To Lay Down His Own Life For His Friends.” - John 15:12-13

As the children of God, we must love others as God loves us. And that means aggressively—and sacrificially...

Life Vs Kite

We have all seen Kite and played with it.
Some kites look funny, some serious, some dangerous, and some very cute. Whatever it is the making of the kite and the arm holding it’s thread determines its journey. Sometimes opponent cuts our rope. Sometimes we direct wrong path that leads to collide with the lamppost. If we make it very cute and strong in design that can go high and if we direct right path with the thread, the journey is going to be awesomely wondrous.

Similarly Life is meant for a wonderful journey that takes and keeps us higher in values and virtues. You hold it. Make it cute. Make it strong. Direct it right. Hold it fine. Your journey will also be so beautiful…

Love is Crazy...

Joshua Bell

This is a True Story...

Musician playing violin in a Washington DC
Metro Station on a cold January morning
in 2007.

He played six Bach pieces for about 60 minutes.
During that time approximately 2,000 people went through
the station, most of them on their way to work.

After: 3 minutes

A middle aged man noticed there was a musician playing.
He slowed his pace and stopped for a few seconds and
then hurried to meet his schedule.

4 minutes

The violinist received his first dollar:
a woman threw the money in the till
and without stopping,
continued to walk.

6 minutes

A young man leaned against the wall to listen to him,
then looked at his watch and started to walk again.

10 minutes

A three year old boy stopped but his mother tugged him along hurriedly,
as the kid stopped to look at the violinist.
Finally the mother pushed hard and the child continued to walk,
turning his head all the time.
This action was repeated by several other children.
Every parent, without exception, forced them to move on.

45 minutes

The musician played. Only 6 people stopped and stayed for a while.
About 20 gave him money but continued to walk their normal pace.
He collected $32.

1 hour

He finished playing and silence took over.
No one noticed. No one applauded, nor was there any recognition.

The Washington Post, as part of a social experiment
about perception, taste and people's priorities,
arranged the entire scenario.

Playing incognito, no one knew the violinist was
Joshua Bell, one of the best musicians in the world.

He played one of the most intricate pieces ever written,
with a violin worth $3.5 million dollars.

Two days prior to this,
Joshua Bell sold this out at a theater in Boston where the tickets
averaged $100 per seat.

The questions rose:
In a commonplace environment at an inappropriate hour,
do we perceive beauty;
do we stop to appreciate it;
do we recognize talent in such an unexpected context?

One possible conclusion reached from this experiment could be:
If we do not have a moment to stop and recognize
one of the best musicians in the world,
and listen to one of the finest music ever written,
with one of the most beautiful instruments,
.
.
.
.
.

HOW MANY OTHER BEAUTIFUL THINGS ARE WE MISSING
IN AND AROUND US?????

Don’t get lost yourself and loose someone special in the tight paced life.

KAL HO NA HO - A Beat From A Wounded Heart...

The one film I loved for all it possesses.
The most heartrending film I have ever seen.
Kal Ho Na Ho lies on the facet of
“What today has may not tomorrow have”. This is Aman’s life.

Staring Shahrukhan (Aman), Preity Zinta (Naina),
Saif Ali Khan (Rohit), Jaya Bachan (Jennifer) and crew.
Yet another Karan Johar film. This is a triangle love story with Aman,
the loving and cheerful guy, Naina, the serious girl who is deeply affected by her father’s suicide and Rohit, a good understanding guy.

It was breathtaking about Aman’s introduction when Jennifer
and her children in agony praying to Jesus Christ to send their Angel.

Aman, a loving, handsome cheerful guy always has something
to make others happy inspite of his heart problem that is
out of sight for everyone other than his mom.

It is really enjoyable with Aman’s playfulness all over the movie.
Naina’s character framed exactly opposite to Aman is good choice.
First sight with the girl, Aman knows his love and finds his world
in her and thereafter teases her. Aman’s way of telling Naina,
how to face the world with a big smile on face is praiseworthy.

Aman takes full rights on, which is not yet considered to be given,
is very humorous. When Aman takes everything to his shoulder and solves Jennifer’s trouble in finance,

Naina gets moved and starts loving him unknowingly.
She starts to smile which no one has seen it in her face before.
Background score was awesome which touches
along with the tear-jerking scenes.

Aman leaving her behind for Rohit because of his ill health and
in reading out his love for Naina in Rohit’s diary that
does not contain a word other than “I Love You Naina” was heartbreaking. The expression of Shahrukh (Aman) when Naina accepts Rohit’s love was out of this world.

When Aman came to know that, unknowingly Naina came to know
about his ill health, his words
“I dont love you Naina” tells his deep affected love.
With this Rohit and Naina’s wedding gets fixed with tears and thoughts.

Aman dressed like a groom and taking Naina to Rohit is agonizing.
End of the wedding, Aman gets admitted to the hospital and everyone
comes to see him. Finally Aman asks Rohit a promise that
Naina is Aman’s from Aman’s next birth on...

The movie is sculpted very finely
with very single expression of Shahrukh is trussed with love...

Glimpses of HOPE...

There is no good or bad in this world. It’s all in your thinking.

What people call congestion in a bus,
becomes atmosphere in a disco...

Remains In My Heart...

We wish to have a life that goes on ever bright but when I realize a night is always there after a day my heart longs to get back to bright. As I wait for long to get back to the light and it seems no hint of morning that I await is ready to come. Days and nights are sure but days and nights of life is unsure. I am waiting innocently in the dark for my light but nothing seems to bring a clue of what I wish.

Through tons of thoughts and tons of attempts to solve the puzzle
I was tired looking for an escape. In my soreness I felt a wind against my face. It sounds weird in the dark. But it didn’t stop to hit my face again and again as though it tells me to wake up. I was much tired even to notice what it has for me. But it is never tired until I listen to it. Finally I made up my mind to pay attention to it. The more I listened the more I became lighter. Lighter and lighter and lighter like a feather. Then the wind tenderly carried me out of a unique way which I have failed to find. I don’t know where I’m going to be landed or what it has for me to offer but sure of my soreness kept me insane. Its weird that I enjoyed the journey with much stillness and I knew only with such a tired heart and still mind could enjoy this.

I was totally empty and was thinking that this world is so as me.
But when this journey happens I realized there is much more than I think or imagine. Yes the world beyond realities. A world called a miracle or a wonder world. Later into the long narrow dark tunnel, which seems nothing new to me who was tired of darkness. Suddenly I felt a glow of light on me spreading over. I felt as though I have been healed from a terrible disease. The first sound I heard is the sound of the water caused by doves that was swimming on the silver pond with much grace. My heart captured the moment very precisely that I felt as though filling my soul with honey.

Coloured bubbles wading across captured my eyes. I was astonished to see different coloured bubbles wading across all over and was eager to find its source but so much like the air it has no specific source, it comes from everywhere. To see as coloured bubbles wading, the white dove swimming in the silver pond, was entirely different from the world I came and the world I could ever imagine. And I noticed something tiny was falling against me. I took up my palms and looked at it and I saw tiny golden bits. I looked up to see tiny golden bits of no weight showering like a snow. I was much filled with awe to the hidden beauty of this secret wonder world and I wondered what else could it offer to me. I heard a melody coming along the air which was so fresh and pure. A tune I have never heard that coats me with a sense of bliss.

I looked at me and I hated looking at me after looking all this.
I was the only ugly thing there. I felt I do not deserve this place.
I saw something big floating and gazed my eyes there. I was surprised to see that was a pure white plump cloud on which an angel was sitting. A man angel of trim and healthy body type with a pure white thick cotton cloth crossed against his chest. He glowed like a moon of white light. His face was tender, pure and pleasant. Along his two sides there were wings of white feathers wide and of his spine length both glowing in white. While I was watching him, he smiled on me and called me by my name.

I was stunned for a moment. My human mind suddenly wades through thoughts of how could this happen, an angel from heaven would know me and further down my name. Again I felt so hard and thought it’s unimaginable to fell in his eyesight. I hesitated. He called me again by name and said, “Dear Son, God Loves You… so do not hide yourself from God. He loves to see you.”

My heart skips a beat. But I felt an urge to answer. “Yes… I… But…”, I felt a lump in my throat. The pain of being neglected, the ache of loss, the thirst of being wanted are the only possessions I had. The possession no one will like to have and the possession no one will admire the person possessing it. He again called me, “Dear Son, come to me”. Inspite of all of my ugliness I decided to obey for a loving call. I came forward with shrank shoulders, bust knees, shaking hands, wrinkled skin, grey white hairs, dull eyes, choked cheeks, nervy neck, weary shirt, dirty pants and torn shoes.

You feel that you can have done better in your past?

Whenever you feel that you can have done better in your past, remember that it is with that struggle and by being on pins and needles you have grown with strength to overcome it. Appreciate it. If you don’t feel like you can change your past, realize you are not growing.

Never Judge A Book By Its Cover

One day a father planned to teach his son a good lesson for life that the little boy would keep up his whole life. He took his son to their garden.
The little boy was full of joy, jumping in seeing all kinds of fruits hanging in trees. They went near the orange tree and the father plucked one for his son. The little boy received it gladly and bites it without peeling the skin. It tastes sour and he dropped it into the ground.

The father asked, “Son, this fruit is so delicious and healthy to our body, why did you dropped it?” The little boy answered,
“Dad, it tastes so bitter, it could not be a good fruit.”

The father then plucked another orange and asked his son to peel the skin and eat. The little boy found it so tasty and amazingly asked his father, ”Dad, how could there be bitterness and sweetness in the same fruit?”

The father replied, “Dear son, you have first tasted its cover.
The cover is not meant for eating. The fruit lies within.
This tough cover is made for the fruit to safeguard it, as it holds taste and tenderness. Dear son, every God’s creation has its own goodness.
So, never judge anyone/anything by what you see.

Realize what you have chosen to see,
either its cover or the fruit itself.
See what they posses and never what they display...

Princess Of People's Hearts - Diana

Lady Diana Frances Spencer

July 1, 1961 to August 31, 1997

Princess Diana, my most favourite woman. The most charming women with a charming smile against her pure face. I love her for her kindness and love towards people.

“I knew what my job was, it was to go out and meet the people and love them”
– Princess Diana.

Edward Spencer, Diana’s father divorced her mother, Frances Spencer, when Diana was 6 years old, which left an emotional scar upon her. Diana and her brother Charles after a battle of custody finally made to settle with their father.

Diana was regarded as an academically below average student. Diana excelled in sports, especially swimming. She is an amateur singer and longed to be a ballerina. After leaving school she got a job as a nanny and a part time cook. Later she took a assistant teaching post at a kindergarten school. It was at this kindergarten school that the famous iconic snap of a 19-year-old Lady Diana Spencer was taken by John Minihan with the morning sun to her back.

Diana was not personally a princess. Diana's family, the Spencers, had been close to the British Royal Family for decades. The Prince's love life had always been the subject of press speculation, nearing his mid-thirties, he was under increasing pressure to marry. Prince insisted that any potential bride had to have an aristocratic background, could not have been previously married, should be Protestant and, preferably, a virgin, would make my wife. Diana fulfilled all of these qualifications.

Buckingham Palace announced the engagement on 24 February 1981. The wedding took place at St Paul's Cathedral in London on Wednesday 29 July 1981. Charles and Diana had two children, Prince William of Wales on 21 June 1982 and Prince Henry of Wales (commonly called Prince Harry) on 15 September 1984.

Unfortunately her marriage fell apart. In June1992, Andrew Morton's biography, Diana, Her True Story written with her tacit approval, details her depressions, bulimia and unhappy married life. In Dec 9, 1992, Buckingham Palace announces the separation of the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Diana was a shy 20-year-old woman when she was thrust into the media spotlight. Through her marriage to Prince Charles, she joined one of the most famous families in the world and became an object of intense media interest. Diana’s personal difficulties are well documented. However to appreciate the accomplishments of Princess Diana we should not focus on these human weakness, which without exception, are common to us all.

Diana had a sincere and genuine interest in other people. Her heart of sympathy extended to many people, in whatever situation they were in. She often spent time visiting the homeless, or terminally ill patients in various hospices.

True these were often photographed, but this wasn’t her motivation for seeing patients. It is said by some hospital staff that, Diana would sometimes visit in the evening, away from the glare of the media. When she did meet patients they responded very positively to her.

Princess Diana had a great capacity to get on with people, whatever their social status. Friends and nurses tell how she had very positive life energy, which was infectious in its capacity to uplift people.

"Everyone needs to be valued. Everyone has the potential to give something back."
- Princess Diana

She campaigned against the use of landmines and helping the victims of AIDS. In December 2001, Bill Clinton said,

"In 1987, when so many still believed that AIDS could be contracted through casual contact, Princess Diana sat on the sickbed of a man with AIDS and held his hand. She showed the world that people with AIDS deserve no isolation, but compassion and kindness. It helped change world opinion, and gave hope to people with AIDS with an outcome of saved lives of people at risk."

She supported a ban on landmines because they are responsible for so many post conflict deaths and injuries. Often it is young children who are most affected by the legacy of landmines.

She is widely acclaimed for her influence on the signing by the governments of the UK and other nations of the Ottawa Treaty in December 1997, after her death, which created an international ban on the use of anti-personnel landmines. Introducing the Second Reading of the Landmines Bill 1998 to the British House of Commons, the Foreign Secretary, Robin Cook, paid tribute to Diana's work on landmines:

" All Honourable Members will be aware from their postbags of the immense contribution made by Diana, Princess of Wales to bringing home to many of our constituents the human costs of landmines. The best way in which to record our appreciation of her work, and the work of NGOs that have campaigned against landmines, is to pass the Bill, and to pave the way towards a global ban on landmines. "

On 31st August 1997, Diana is said to have died in a car crash. Her life left in the hospital. She was taken to an island on the Althorp estate for burial.

Princess Diana was a unique royal; by engaging in her charity work on a deeply personal level she became a real people’s princess. People from around the world could identify with her. In particular they appreciated her heart centred approach to life.

She was not just appreciated in her home country the UK, but around the world. She captured the heart of America and received much support and encouragement even from American newspapers.

“After giving her time and property to charities and causes ranging from the treatment of AIDS to the abolition of landmines, her destiny is clear. She will never be the queen of England, but she will be the queen of our hearts.”
